I love the fashion at the Golden Globes. The dress code is less formal than the Oscars, but more formal than say, the MTV awards so there is a fun mix of couture and adventurous fashion! Here are MY favourites from this year’s ceremony…
Kate Hudson steps away from her ‘girl next door’ image with this sultry and sexy Alexander McQueen gown. She looks stunning and the collar detail is beautiful!
This Givenchy creation makes Amanda Seyfried look like some kind of angel! I love how she’s barely accessorised so all attention is on the dress and how beautiful she looks!
I love how age-appropriate Modern Family actress Ariel Winter looks in this Valentino gown. You can tell she is really having fun and she feels comfortable in the dress, rather than being too over-exposed or trying to look sexy. This is how you can have fun with fashion!
This gold gown by Michael Kors suited British actress Emily Blunt down to the ground. I love how she’s matched her jewellery to the red embellishment on the dress! Also I’m loving this lighter hair colour on her!
I love how Helen Mirren proves that fashion applies to women, no matter their age! This Badgley Mischka gown looks stunning on the 67 year old actress, and she’s hit the embellishment trend bang on!
This week I’ve made the most of the January sales and updated my wardrobe with some fashionable pieces for the cold weather!
I love wearing leggings, and prefer them over jeans most of the time. I bought these deep red aztec leggings from New Look as they’re made of a fleece material and keep me warm! I think the colour is also really unique and makes a change from black!
While in New Look I also picked up this Peplum top for a night out. As it was -1 degrees that night I wore it with leopard print leggings and a pair of spiky heels (featured below). It was a good alternative to a dress or a skirt and it also meant that I didn’t freeze!
Studs and spikes are featuring all across the high street at the moment and I’ve joined the trend with these studded cage heels from New Look. I normally prefer wedge heels but I couldn’t resist these fierce shoes!
My final purchase this week was this eyelash lace top from Topshop. It smartens up just a regular top and would look great teamed with a light coloured denim and a dark blazer!
With the weather in Britain at the minute, this jumper is definitely needed!
Scarves can really add to an outfit and I’m obsessed with leopard print so I love this one! Add sex appeal to an everyday outfit!
This cute cat face t-shirt is definitely one for all the animal lovers!
I haven’t blogged in such a long time because I’ve been sooo busy with university work (third year sucks!), but now I have a small break in assignments so never fear because your daily dose of fashion is back!
A sweet little stocking filler for your partner/dad/best friend maybe?
Rose gold is a big feature in jewellery this season and Topshop especially are featuring a lot of skulls in their pieces. I love this cuff bracelet because it’s so simple.
If you’re like me and you always lose your jewellery, especially rings, then maybe you should invest in this adorable bunny ring holder! It’s certainly a lot cheaper than re-buying all your lost bling!
This umbrella is the perfect way to brighten up the cold and rainy season of winter! Use the rain as an excuse to splash out! (See what I did there?)
I’m a massive Harry Potter geek so I would definitely wear this jumper around the house on a cold and rainy day. Or it’s the perfect jumper for a Harry Potter movie night!
This would be a perfect dress for any upcoming Christmas parties you might have! If not, the sequins would even make it a brilliant New Years dress!
Kimberley Walsh dazzles in this pastel blue dress with lace detailing from Brazilian designer Patricia Bonaldi’s Spring 2013 collection. The lace detail and embellishment looks lovely and the dress really suits Kimberley’s colouring!
Bond Girl Berenice vamps it up in this black Armani Privé gown with sculptured detailing. I just feel like if it had been a bit longer to cover her toes it would have looked perfect! I love the simple hair styling too, it lets the dress do the talking.
Model Bar looks fantastic in this black outfit with gold embellishment. The gold sandals go perfectly and I love how she’s coordinated her lipstick and toenail polish! The little details really do make an outfit, especially on the red carpet!
It is every fashion followers dream to one day own a Chanel bag, and this velvet quilted beauty is a good reminder of why that is! The dark purple is a brilliant colour for winter, and you can almost feel how soft the velvet would be! The perfect winter bag!
If, like me, you can’t wait for the latest (and last!) series of Gossip Girl, show your love with this name tee!
I LOVE THESE SHOES! The capitals were definitely needed for that! These purple peep-toes are one of my favourite pairs of shoes I’ve seen for a while, I may just have to purchase them myself!
I love the silhouette of this vintage dress, and it could easily look at home on a show such as Mad Men. The leopard print sash and collar brings it right into the twenty-first century. Adorable!
